Statistics – December 2012

I’m back above the corresponding months figure from last year with nearly 800 QSOs in the log for December. I only managed to work one new DXCC entity this month, that was the ZL9HR DXpedition to Campbell Island. I did have one QSO on 20m using SSTV which is a mode that I last used many years ago on 2m FM when I lived in Harlow and it was about as exciting now as I remember it back then.   It’s not a mode I’ll be using much.

Despite the high QSO count, it’s actually been a relatively quiet month on the radio, this time of year is the worst for me as only the low bands are open once I get home from work so I’m really limited to weekend operating.  When I’ve been at home, I’ve been trying to build up my country total on 17m as I’ve decided that’s the band I’ll be working on next for DXCC.

QSOs made: 780
DXCC entities worked: 76
New DXCC entities worked: 1

Total DXCC worked: 237
Total DXCC confirmed using LoTW: 214
Total DXCC confirmed using LoTW/QSL cards: 227
