I’ve successfully worked DXCC on 30m

Over the last couple of months I’ve been concentrating on 30m using the dipole I installed late last year because I was keen to complete my 30m DXCC before the winter kicks in.

Most of my contacts on 30m are using digital modes, either JT65, JT9 (remember them?) or FT8 and I knew that I’d be using FT8 to pick up new entities.

I use JT-Bridge to talk to WSJT-X and I configured it to alert me whenever I received a CQ call from an entity that I’d not already worked and/or had confirmed. For all of August and most of September, I was spending a lot of time in the shack so I didn’t have to come running if I got an alert as I was already here. I did keep an eye on what was happening and so I wasn’t simply waiting for pings, I did work a lot of other stations during that time as well as looking for the new ones. Amateur radio has really helped keep me occupied and sane over the last few months and this minor project has been very useful to me.

Once I put my mind to it and actually started searching for new ones, it didn’t take too long to reach the magic one hundred entities worked and confirmed on 30m.

Here’s a list of the most recent ones that I’ve worked and had confirmed. It may be surprising to see some of these with recent dates but that’s because although I may have worked the countries earlier, they weren’t confirmed and it took a while to work another station who uploads their log to LoTW.

Stations worked on 30m

This means I’ve completed DXCC on 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m and 10m so it’s time to start thinking seriously about 80m. I’ve never had a good aerial for 80m which is why I’ve only worked 54 entities on there so far.
