The CQ WPX RTTY Contest 2012 results are out

Back in February I blogged to say that I’d put a serious entry into the CQ WPX RTTY Contest 2012 and I’m happy to say that the results are now out in the July edition of CQ Magazine.  I subscribe to CQ in the digital form and I’m always very pleased when the email comes through on the first of the month to tell me it’s available for download.

I didn’t expect many entries in the ‘Single Operator – High Power – 15m’ section and it ended up that mine was the only entry but my real aim was to beat the 21MHz ‘G’ record and I was happy to see that I’d done that by just 2,886 points from Dave, G3TBK operating as M7W (a very rare prefix) who was in the low power section.  As it happens, my single band entry was the highest score from England overall, including those who submitted a multi-band entry.   My score is also the highest single band 21MHz entry for anyone in the United Kingdom.

Here are the results for England, posted with kind permission of CQ Magazine.  Full results will appear on the CQ WPX RTTY website in due course.

The columns are: Callsign, section (A=All bands), score, QSOs, multipliers.
